Career
Karn Sharma did his first-class debut in Ranji Trophy (2007-08 season) playing for Railways against the Jammu and Kashmir. Playing as a specialist, batsman scored 120 off 232 balls, his team, in the Karnail Singh Stadium. This wonderful performance got Karn Sharma the ticket to play for India in the T20I format against England in September 2014. He even played for ODI on 13 November 2014 against Sri Lanka. On 9 December 2014, he played a Test Match against Australia in Adelaide. This turned his career from Domestic front to International. He bagged 3.75 crores from Sunrise Hyderabad in the auction of 2014 IPL, which hit the headlines. He earned the highest money acquired by an uncapped player in the auction.
In 2009 he started his IPL career as a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore. With few setbacks in IPL 2015 and 2016, Karn decided to join Mumbai Indians. As a result, he became the most expensive Indian player at IPL auctions of 2017. Karn Sharma was bought for INR 5 crore in the 2018 IPL auctions by Chennai Super Kings. He started his ODI career after the Match in Sri Lanka in 2014. Karn Sharma turns out to be the only player to play IPL with three different teams.
